¹ Apple’s test ratings; real endurance and charging speed depend on conditions. The stated wired charging test requires a separately sold 60W-capable adapter or higher. ² Water resistance is a laboratory rating, not a promise against damage in every use case.
Does it have Face ID or Touch ID?
Apple lists Touch ID in the side button. A front camera is not evidence of Face ID: the camera and authentication specifications must be read separately.
Can it use Apple Pencil at launch?
Apple says USB-C Apple Pencil support is coming later in 2026, on either screen. The compatibility entry in a specs list does not mean the feature ships on day one. No support for Apple Pencil Pro has been established by the sources checked here. Apple announcement
Does “2x Telephoto” mean a third rear camera?
No. Apple’s two-camera system uses the main camera for an optical-quality 2x option. It should not be described as a separate dedicated telephoto lens.
What remains unconfirmed here?
Apple’s public specs do not give us a RAM capacity, battery capacity in mAh or a verified long-term hinge-life measurement. Those fields stay unfilled. Durability, heat and real-world endurance need independent testing after devices become available.
