What this version collects

This site does not offer accounts, payment forms, a newsletter signup or advertising tracking. Search runs in your browser against a small index of published pages; the site does not send search queries to a search provider.

Traffic analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand which pages readers visit and how they find this site. Reports include page views, referral sources, approximate location and device/browser categories. Plausible does not use analytics cookies or track visitors across websites. We do not send site-search queries, names or email addresses to Plausible. Analytics is enabled on the production site only.

For the open-source viewer, we also count source/demo link clicks, pose selections and PNG generation. These events contain only fixed action and pose labels, not images or user-entered content. The downloadable GitHub app has no analytics adapter.

Language preferences

The language selector may store a language preference cookie so your choice can be remembered. Content remains accessible without an account.

Duo Studio

The 3D experience and its sample apps run in your browser. Photos, notes and simulator preferences are not uploaded to our server or analytics, and are not synced to an account or another device. The Safari-style app searches three built-in guides locally; it does not browse other websites or send queries to a search provider.

When you choose photos to import, the browser creates copies with a longest edge of at most 1,600 pixels and leaves your original files unchanged. The local library accepts up to 12 JPEG, PNG or WebP images, each up to 15 MB (15 × 1,024 × 1,024 bytes). These copies, their filenames, favorite status and import times are stored in this browser’s local photo database (IndexedDB). Notes save automatically as you edit; notes, wallpaper selection, simulated brightness, appearance, sound and always-on display preferences use local storage. If browser storage is unavailable, the experience tells you that changes will only last for the current page session.

You can delete photos in the Photos app and clear the text in Notes. Clearing this site’s browser data removes its local photos, notes and preferences. Resetting the 3D scene keeps this personal content. Browser storage is not a backup service.

The simulated always-on display is enabled by default, so your chosen wallpaper remains visible at reduced brightness when you put the simulated display to sleep. You can turn this off in the simulator’s Settings to show a black screen instead.

The Camera app requests access to your device’s camera only after you choose Start camera. It requests video without microphone audio. The preview stays in your browser; photos you choose to capture are processed and saved to the same local photo library. Leaving the Camera app, locking the simulated screen, leaving the experience or deactivating that interactive display stops its video stream. You can also stop the camera with its on-screen control. No motion-sensor access is requested.

A shared scene link contains only the folding angle, finish, lighting and selected sample app. It does not contain your photos, filenames, personal wallpaper or note. Clipboard access is used only when you choose to copy a scene link. Saving a scene creates a PNG on your device, including any personal photo or text visible on the simulated screen. The site does not upload that image; its visible content will be included if you later share the downloaded file yourself.

Creative workbench

The optional film creator uses a separate, session-only media library. It accepts up to 12 local images or browser-compatible videos (images up to 15 MB; videos up to 80 MB). Large images are resized locally to a longest edge of 2,560 pixels. Media, cropping, shot assignments and cover text are not uploaded. Leaving the workbench or reloading clears this project; it does not delete your source files or the simulator's persistent photo library.

Video export records the local 3D canvas into a silent MP4 where the browser supports it, or WebM otherwise. The downloaded film includes the selected pictures, video frames and text. Nothing is automatically published or shared. Moving this page into the background cancels an active recording rather than exporting an incomplete film.

When you choose From a website, the URL is sent to our server, which requests the public page to extract headings and text. The destination receives an ordinary server request. Do not submit private links or URLs containing credentials or access tokens. No login cookies or personal media are forwarded. The extracted text returns to your browser for editing and local story-card creation; our application does not persist these requests or generated cards to a database. Hosting providers may retain ordinary request logs. Generated cards are summaries, not a live copy of the website.

A hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP addresses and access logs to serve and secure the site. The deployment platform selected for this site is Vercel. Links to other sites are governed by those sites’ privacy practices.

Optional video playback

The video poster is hosted with this site. A YouTube privacy-enhanced player is loaded only after you press play. Playing a video connects your browser to YouTube, which may process your IP address, device information and playback activity under its own privacy practices. You can use the Apple Events link instead.
